The unique "city-hotel" will certainly amaze you with its refinement, but also intrigue you with its interesting past. Once a small fishing village inhabited by Paštrović families, it was transformed in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century into a "secret refuge" of many world famous people such as Sophia Loren, Orson Welles, Kirk Douglas, Elizabeth Taylor and eventually became an exclusive, luxurious resort, which still cherishes the aura of its past and former atmosphere.
Old Town Bar is a town that once had 3,500 inhabitants, and today it is called a ghost town. You will have the opportunity to visit this rich archaeological site, which has been under renovation for years. It only takes a little imagination to bring this city to life. You can see the remains of Venetian palaces, Turkish bath and the clock tower, as well as the aqueduct, and the remains of Orthodox and Catholic churches.
The essential part of Montenegro, and especially the south, are the famous olive trees. In the past, no sailor could get married in this region unless he planted a certain number of olive trees. Thanks to this custom, Montenegrin coast today has around 500,000 olive trees.
Near the Old Town Bar there is a place where one of the three oldest olive trees in the world grows, which is over 2,000 years old. This old olive tree still bears fruit.
The "Pjaca" square - a place where locals used to gather and sell products - is considered to be the central part of St. Stefan. From there, a narrow path leads us to the most picturesque corner – where you can find a pool with a wonderful view of the Adriatic sea.
After the tour, a snack is planned in the restaurant, from where you can enjoy the view of St. Stefan in the shade of olive and cypress trees.

After a short drive from your hotel, we will take a photo break above the unique St. Stefan peninsula, and then continue our drive in a southeast direction. We will pass by the small town of Petrovac and its beaches. In about 45 minutes we arrive in the town of Bar.
When we climb the Citadel, behind the Old Town we will be able to see the valley covered with olive trees and the slopes of Rumija. When we go down towards the central part of the town, we will reach a plateau with a view to the new part of Bar and the port. Before we leave Old Town Bar, we will pass by the old Turkish clock tower. Time has stopped here, but experts are working to wake up the Old Town Bar from its deep sleep.
